NTG Clarity
Networks Inc.
today announced
that it has
completed
a large campus
area network
project for
Egypt’s
National Research
Center (NRC)
on time and
on budget.
The network
provides state
of the art
Gigabit Ethernet
LAN connectivity
and Internet
access to
NRC researchers
and included
the implementation
of a campus
style network
connecting
1300 nodes
across 15
buildings.
The network
consists of
3 central
switches,
13 local building
switches and
35 departmental
floor switches
all managed
centrally
with network
management
software.
“This
is a historic
moment for
the NRC, finally
our 3000 Researchers
do not have
to queue up
to get a connection
to the Internet
and waste
valuable time
waiting. This
is a huge
technological
step forward
and will greatly
enhance the
efficiency,
effectiveness
and productivity
of the research
process at
the Center.
I like to
thank NTG
for keeping
their commitment
and delivering
this important
and complex
project on
schedule ”,
said Dr. Hany
El Nazzer,
Chairman of
the Egyptian
National Research
Center.
“NTG
is proud to
have taken
this challenge
both from
a cost and
schedule perspective,
especially
schedule,
as this project
entailed installation
of the Network
without disrupting
work at the
NRC. Project
management
was vital
in succeeding
in this and
working around
the many challenges
that came
up daily.
I like to
thank the
NTG team for
their professionalism
and dedication.
This complex
project highlighted
the technical
and project
management
expertise
of NTG Egypt
and demonstrated
NTG's ability
and commitment
to provide
its International
customers
with the same
level of quality
and performance
as North America”,

The project
awarded to
NTG Clarity
in March 2003
through its
wholly owned

was successfully

on time in

and within
budget for
approximately
$ 1.6 M Egyptian
pounds.
NTG Clarity
continued
success in
the North
Africa / Middle
