NTG Clarity
Networks Inc.
(CDNX: NCI)
is providing
its proprietary
Virtual Nervous
System (VNS)
application
in the health
sector. It
will develop
and implement
an innovative
Inter/Intranet
solution at
The Hospital
for Sick Children,
for the Arab
Genetic Disorders
Consortium.
Virtual Nervous
System is
a corporate
communications
and knowledge
management
system designed
to proficiently
administer
the increasing
volume of
information
within today’s
organizations.
It offers
an alternative
to the static
Inter/Intranet
applications
and systems
of the past,
and will link
more than
30 researchers
in 15 countries
who are currently
studying genetic
disorders
specific to
the Arab population.
NTG Clarity’s
application
will enable
the Consortium
to organize
and manage
the vast amount
of genetic
data compiled
worldwide.
Researchers
will soon
be able to
search historical
data, record
personal findings,
engage in
on-line discussions
with Consortium
members and
track the
progress of
current research
projects through
a common interface.
"We
are excited
to have the
opportunity
to apply our
Virtual Nervous
System application
to a project
of this importance,"
says Ashraf
Zaghloul,
CEO and Chairman
of NTG Clarity
Networks Inc.
"Through
our involvement,
we are providing
a vehicle
that will
expedite the
worldwide
research on
Arab genetic
disorders
that is currently
underway.
We believe
that we can
apply this
to other areas
in the health
sector and
almost any
other sector
where communications
and efficiency
is important"
"This
project is
an important
first step
in developing
the database,
which will
benefit a
million Canadians
of Arab origin
and 300 million
worldwide,"
said Dr. Ahmad
Teebi, section
head of Clinical
Genetics at
The Hospital
for Sick Children.
"The
database will
be an important
source of
information
for clinicians,
students and
researchers
from around
the world,
and will have
unique diagnostic
uses."
"NTG
Clarity is
committed
to working
with industry
leaders to
continue to
identify and
develop innovative
ways to share
information,
and communicate
more efficiently
such as we
will be doing
for the Hospital,"
says Essam
Zaghloul,
President
of NTG Clarity
Networks.
"Given
the flexibility
of our application,
we’re
certain the
possibilities
are endless." |
